Doctor of Ministry in Supernatural Ministry
United Theological Seminary in Dayton, OH, one of our official United Methodist Seminaries, is partnering with Aldersgate Renewal Ministries in offering a fully accredited, 3 year Doctor of Ministry Degree in Supernatural Ministry starting in January and August of each year.
This degree will prepare leaders to live naturally supernatural and enable them to encourage the people in their ministries to do the same. The students will examine Spirit directed and empowered ministry in church history and in the church today. We will look at the biblical evidence for why signs, wonders and miracles are important. Being filled with the Spirit, intimacy with God, gifts of the Spirit, hearing God, prophecy, healing, deliverance, angelic encounters, raising the dead, "extraordinary miracles" [Acts 19:11], and impartation are some of the topics that will be considered. We expect participants to be released into supernatural ministry and equipped to impart that ministry into the lives of others. Through Aldersgate Renewal Ministries, participants will have opportunity to be ministered to and minister at sessions of the Methodist School for Supernatural Ministry and the national Aldersgate conference.
Dr. Frank H. Billman is the Dean of the Methodist School for Supernatural Ministry and Director Equipping Ministries at Aldersgate Renewal Ministries. Dr. Billman will be an adjunct professor at United and the faculty mentor for this group. He has been a United Methodist pastor since 1979 and serves Forest Grove United Methodist Church in addition to his duties at Aldersgate Renewal Ministries. His passion is to see people transformed by the power of God.
A Master's degree and at least 3 years of experience of professional ministry after receiving that degree, and a recommendation from your church and your District Superintendent or a colleague-in-ministry are required for admission into the program. Information on financial aid from United is made available after enrollment. Additional funds may be obtained from Board of Ordained Ministry continuing education funds and your local church professional expense account. Check United Theological seminary's website for application deadlines.
