Pastoral Renewal
A life in ministry is full of unique challenges. The daily pressure of seeking to meet the spiritual needs of people entrusted to your care can be emotionally, physically, and spiritually exhausting. Aldersgate Renewal Ministries provides experiences and resources for you and your family to be renewed and refreshed by the power of the Holy Spirit. ARM also provides teaching and ministry equipping that you may note have necessarily learned in seminary.
Below are some alarming facts about ministers:
- 1,500 pastors leave the ministry each month due to moral failure, spiritual burnout, or contention in their churches.
- 90% of pastors work more than 46 hours a week, leading to burnout.
- 50% of pastors' marriages will end in divorce.
- 80% of pastors believe that pastoral ministry negatively affects their families.
- 80% of pastors and 84% of their spouses feel unqualified and discouraged in their roles as pastors.
- 50% of pastors are so discouraged that they would leave the ministry if they could, but have no other way of making a living.
- 80% of seminary and Bible school graduates who enter the ministry will leave the ministry within the first five years.
- 70% of pastors constantly fight depression.
- 70% of pastors say they have a lower self-image now than when they started in the ministry.
- 61% of pastors admit that they "have few close friends."

Aldersgate Annual Conference

Doctor of Ministry in Supernatural Ministry
United Theological Seminary in Dayton, OH, one of our official United Methodist Seminaries, is partnering with Aldersgate Renewal Ministries in offering a fully accredited, 3 year Doctor of Ministry Degree in Supernatural Ministry. New students are admitted in January and August of each year. Projects designed and completed in this program involve doing supernatural ministry in the student’s ministry setting.
United Theological Seminary in Dayton, OH, one of our official United Methodist Seminaries, is partnering with Aldersgate Renewal Ministries in offering a fully accredited, 3 year Doctor of Ministry Degree in Supernatural Ministry. United Theological Seminary offers a hybrid COS program that involves one weekend, face-to face, on campus session in Dayton, OH, with the rest of the course delivered online. Some of the courses taught in this program are taught by professors related to Aldersgate Renewal Ministries. All of the hybrid courses offered at United are transferrable to other annual conference COS programs. For more information go to the United website www.United.edu or email cos@united.edu.

ARCottages
We invite you to come away for a season of rest to one of our ARCottages. Snuggled just north of Nashville, Tennessee, in the cozy town of Goodlettsville, you will find the ARCottages to be a place of refreshing, renewal and intimacy with God. ARM has two private, fully furnished homes set apart for use by clergy and their families to come, for $40/ night, for refreshment and personal retreat. The ARCottages have full kitchens and include washers and dryers. Shopping, tourist attractions and many local restaurants are available in the area. Come, pray, and get away with God in the peaceful atmosphere of the ARCottages.

The MSSM is a place where people who are longing to live in the supernatural can learn about our heritage of supernatural ministry, how God is moving supernaturally in the world today, and how to be used by God in supernatural ways. Experience the supernatural ministry of God for yourself. New ministries have started in local churches after some of their members have attended the MSSM. Some churches are using the DVDs of MSSM sessions in bible studies and Sunday School classes and God is showing up powerfully in those small group sessions. We consistently find that about 40% of those attending sessions of the MSSM are clergy.

A Day Apart
A women's event usually offered in the Spring and the Fall of each year at the Aldersgate Renewal Center in Goodlettsville, TN. Come for a day of worship, teaching, prayer ministry and fellowship with other women who are seeking communion with God. Female clergy are regularly among the presenters and attenders at these spring and fall retreats.

ARC Events - Periodically we have special events at our Aldersgate Renewal Center. These include Women's or Men's events, Healing schools and other events.
