ARM Brazil Power Team
What?
- Aldersgate Renewal Ministries will send a team of 5 people to do supernatural ministry in Brazil—to manifest the kingdom of God in power. The Team will be working with Shores of Grace. The team may be ministering in the following areas:
- Street Church: Loving children at Street Church and assisting with arts, crafts, Bible lessons and activities. Assisting with making meals and snacks for street church, assisting with organizing food distribution on the streets, praying for healing for the sick at Street Church.
- Street Outreach: Joining Brazilian teams, Shores of Grace staff to minister (prayer, prophesying and words of knowledge, etc.) to the women and men in prostitution. They may also assist with a Father’s Love Banquet.
- Rescue Home: Supporting the House Parents by assisting with some of the daily house schedule. Helping with arts, crafts, play time, exercise, Bible studies and participating in times of prayer for the girls.
- Other outreach yet to be planned! Perhaps a visit to the dry area where Shores has dug their first well, visiting and ministering in and with other Methodist churches in Recife.
- God will show up in miraculous ways healing people, delivering people, and saving people. Brazilian Methodists and American Methodists are called to do the works that Jesus did [Jn. 14:12]
Who?
The team will be led by Rev. Dr. Frank Billman, ARM's Director of Church Partner Relations and the following team members: Melanie Hauser, Rachel Dow, Skylar Bailey, and Peggi Billman.
When?
- June 14 - 26, 2013!
How can you help?
- Pray, pray pray! Pray that the travel Visas go through the system quickly, pray that the rest of the funds come through for each team member, safety as they travel, no side-effects as some team members are getting updated immunizations and that the team members will be agents of change to those they minister to and that they will be changed themselves.
- Give Financially. The team is still needing approximately $5700 in order for the trip to be fully-funded. Funds are needed to cover ministry needs in Brazil, travel in Brazil, food and lodging for the team and any "surprise" costs while there! (surprise to the team, not the the Lord!) Give today by donating online and putting "Brazil Power Team" in the comments section OR send a check to: ARM Brazil Power Team, 121 East Avenue, Goodlettsville TN 37072. All funds should be received by June 1st!
Where?
- Recife, Brazil, a large metropolitan area. What you read will tell you of its excellent educational structure, modern city, arts, economy, etc. What you won't read is what the team will see; the extreme number of homeless children, many caught in sex trafficking, the street people,, the poverty and the need for God's love.
Why Brazil?
- Randy Clark comments…”Over the last 10 years I have seen more healings, miracles and overall fruit in this nation than any other.” “Those who go on short term mission trips and minister in the power of the Spirit often return home with a new passion for what God is doing on the earth. Such trips can also benefit the ongoing work in the field, impacting large groups of people through evangelistic meetings, bringing impartation and refreshment to the host pastors and churches.”
- We have great support and encouragement from Bishop Lopes, President of the Council of Bishops of the Methodist Church of Brazil. He assures us that many Methodist churches and Methodist youth will be open to this in Brazil.
- We have Nic and Luke Billman and their Shores of Grace ministry on the ground in Brazil ready to train and facilitate this event. See Shores of Grace
Lasting Impact in Brazil?
- People saved, healed and delivered
- People who are exposed to miracles find their faith lifted and they expose others. Churches and people will be changed forever.
- Young people starting out experiencing the supernatural can grow into doing even greater things by the power of the Spirit over a long ministry. The ceiling of the older generations will be their floor.
