“I can't tell you what a blessing our week was! We always enjoy the worship experience at Aldersgate, and it seemed everything was just what we needed (amazing how God can meet our needs and someone else's different needs at the same time, with the same message).”
“I wish every clergy couple could attend, words can't really express how much we enjoyed ourselves and how refreshed we feel after that. In addition, (my husband) was healed of back pain that has been ongoing for about 5-6 years!!! God seems to pile blessing upon blessing in our lives.”

Retreat Location
The event is hosted at the Aldersgate Renewal Center (ARC).
The ARC is nestled in the quiet and peaceful community of Goodlettsville, just north of Nashville, TN (click here for map). Filled with an atmosphere that is comfortable and relaxing, the ARC is a safe place for refreshing, renewal, and intimacy with God. One participant testified saying, "I desperately needed a time to withdraw from schedule to relax and enter into the presence of Jesus where my spouse and I could just participate and not have to be the ones who were facilitating the events. I wanted to just be with her and with church family who understood this same need and desire. God supplied abundantly." Pastor, Tennessee
It is ARM's desire to create an atmosphere where participants have opportunity to be refreshed and renewed by the power of the Holy Spirit in worship, prayer, and sharing from seasoned leaders. We also trust that this life changing event will have lasting fruit in the participant's life, marriage, and ministry. A retreat attendee shared, "We felt a beautiful impartation and expression of encouragement and freedom through worship and ministry time. We know there will be more fruit in our lives because of this event." Pastor, South Carolina
Another shared, "I believe that this is a life changing event. God brought me close through worship, through love of fellow servants, through solid seminars, and blessed sharing times. We heard from God in our crisis to just love Him and trust Him." Pastor, North Carolina
And lastly, "[We] want to thank you for a wonderful week at Aldersgate! What a blessing that you met all of our needs from meals, to motel, to sound teaching, to incredible worship, to healing and deliverance and so on! Thank you also that you all were so loving and caring. God bless you for reaching out even to Baptists! We felt loved by you all and by the pastors and spouses that attended right from the beginning. To sum it up, [we] will never forget this week." Pastor's wife, North Carolina

"I came to this event feeling distrustful of God and the Holy Spirit. I had been involved in a Women's ministry, which had and does practice the charismatic gift of the Holy Spirit. Unfortunately, these gifts had been misused and abused, hurting others and myself. So, I had stepped apart from God and the Holy Spirit unsure of my faith and reluctant to trust. I have spent the last several years as a Martha doing the business of the church. During my time at the conference, I felt an openness to trust again and a desire to spend time being in fellowship with my God and the Holy Spirit. I could feel the presence of the Holy Spirit in the music, fellowship, testimonies, prayers and speakers."
Pastor, Illinois
"God began to work in my heart from the beginning in the area of forgiveness from a recent family situation. The opportunity to be away as a couple, to really talk and spend uninterrupted time together brought renewal to our marriage. The whole week brought healing and renewal."
Pastor, Nebraska
"My husband's heart was encouraged here, which is peace and rest to me. He was loved and accepted here, which is healing to me too. We as a couple were blessed, encouraged, lifted up, loved, and taken care of by the Lord through his faithful and blessed saints."
Pastor, North Carolina

Tell them that the kingdom is here. Bring health to the sick. Raise the dead. Touch the untouchables. Kick out the demons” [The Message]. But, Jesus also made it clear that they were to wait for the promise of the Father, indicating in Acts 1:8 that they would “receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” ARM believes that the empowerment of the Holy Spirit is essential to carry on the ministry of Jesus.
