What is the Gathering?

The Gathering is the annual assembly of our Board of Directors, Advisory Council and friends of the ministry. It is the official Board of Directors meeting required in the by-laws of Aldersgate Renewal Ministries. It is also a time saturated with worship and prayer where we gather to seek God’s face thanking Him for the past, celebrating the present, and visioning for the future.

What about Housing?

ARM has arranged for special accommodation rates of $72 per night ( plus taxes ) at the Holiday Inn Express. The hotel provides a complimentary hot breakfast. Reservations can be made easily by calling 1-615-851-1891. Be sure to mention
“Gathering At The ARC 2010” to secure the special room rate.

Who else can attend?

Anyone interested in ARM! The Gathering is open to all those who would like to learn more about the inner workings of the ministry. It is also a great way to introduce people to our ministry, as we seek to increase the ethnic and age diversity of the ARM family.

What else should I know?

Childcare will be provided while meetings are in session. In order to make proper preparation, we must know if you are bringing your child(ren) no later than Friday, February 19, 2010.

We invite you to join us for a special “Blessing Banquet” Friday at 5:30 p.m. This meal is a special thank you from the ARM staff in great apprecation for your presence in the life of the ministry.

All Gathering attendees are invited to the “Blessing Banquet.” Registrations must be received by Friday, February 19, 2010.

Why Should I Come?

In Jeremiah 33:3 God extends the invitation: “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” The prophet Amos said, “Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets” [3:7].

God spoke through Isaiah saying “Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them” [42:9]. “Even from the beginning I have declared it to you; Before it came to pass I proclaimed it to you” [48:5].

“’Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.’ But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God” [I Corinthians 2:9-10].

Note two things: First, God wants to reveal His heart and His plan to us. He wants to give us a divine ‘heads up’ through the Holy Spirit if we will take the time to listen. Secondly, Aldersgate Renewal Ministries will stay in the center of God’s will if we pay attention to the Spirit’s leading.

That’s why we come together for The Gathering. That’s why we need God’s presence in you here for this meeting.

God has graciously established ARM and allowed us to encourage individuals and churches to be filled, gifted, empowered and led by the Holy Spirit in ministry to the world. He has allowed us to equip individuals and churches to minister in the power of the Holy Spirit. Let’s seek His face to fulfill God’s calling, purpose, plan and destiny for ARM. We rest in His promise: “Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart” [Jeremiah 29:12-13].
